Ambercon 2010 Submit Game Choices

You do not have permission to view this form.

Please let us know what you intend to do in every slot, and whether you are a returning player to any game you choose in that slot. It is very helpful to have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice for you for every slot in which you intend to play. For each choice you will have a chooser bar of the games from the book, plus the options "I am taking this slot off" and "Any Game." (In the First Choice, you can also select "I am GMing this slot.") You will also have the opportunity to send notes and clarifications to the schedulers in a Notes field for each slot.

If you truly do not mind which of the three games you get as a first choice, please let us know that. If you have a strong first choice in the convention overall, let us know that, too, though as always limited space will leave some folks out of very coveted games.

If there are people you would really like to play with, or folks you play with all the time with whom you'd rather not play, or games you've play-tested that you need to avoid playing again, that can also go in the Notes field.

In the rare circumstance that we are unable to place you in any of your choices for a particular slot, we will place you in another Amber game that has openings. If you don't want us to assign you, or if you prefer more than three games in a slot, mention this in your Notes field.

If you are GMing, choose "I am GMing this slot" as your first choice game. Feel free to choose other games for your second and third choices, in case for some reason your game is cancelled.

If you are skipping the slot, choose "I am taking this slot off" as your first choice game.

Several things to note:

  • Please let us know if you'll be arriving late for any game slot in which you intend to play (for example, if your plane gets in late on Thursday or Friday), so we can pass this information on to your GM. Also let us know if you are planning to leave early.
  • Games will be filled on a first come, first served basis - moderated so that everyone will have at least one first-choice game in their schedule. Please register for games as soon as possible. There is a selfish reason and an organizer's reason for doing this. The selfish reason is so that you get into the games you want; the reason the schedulers care is so they can make and confirm your schedules in time for you to communicate with your GMs before people start traveling on the week of the convention. Anyone who has not registered for games by February 27, 2010 will be assigned games at random.
  • Please do not write to your GMs before receiving your confirmed schedule for the con. This is confusing and a waste of everyone's time. You will receive contact details for your GMs and they will receive contact details for you once the schedules are made.
  • Please note that some games run for multiple sessions. If you register for a game that says, for example, "(Part 1 of 2)" or "(Part 2 of 2)" be sure to check the timing of the other session and register for both.
