Benefits of Being a GM

Hi folks,

I just wanted to point out a few benefits of being a GM:

  1. You get scheduling preference over non-GMs.
Within a game, game priority being the same, if applicable, returning players get preference over non-returning players.  Within each group though, GMs get preference over non-GMs.  In case of a tie, GMs that run more games at the con get preference over GMs running fewer games.  If it's still a tie, players are selected in the order in which they signed up.  For non-GMs, in case of a tie, players are selected in the order in which they signed up.

Of course, this all can change in the final pass where we check that people do not end up with a broken schedule because of the scheduling rules: it is the main reason why we schedule players by hand.  We also try and accomodate people who indicate in their game selection notes that a game is particularly important to them.

  2. You could get more food certificates.
GMs who run four or more slots will receive an additional $20 worth of food certificates!

So, become a GM: submit a game!

I believe the committee has

I believe the committee has now decided to give additional certificates to GMs who run 3 or more games rather than 4, now, so it is in reach for more folks to put in that "just one more game..."

Sim's right: if you GM three

Sim's right: if you GM three games, you get $15 of additional certificates.
