A Charmed Life

Sol Foster
Slot 7 - Sun 11am-5pm - 6 hours
SPACE FOR ANY 2 TO 6 PLAYERS

It was just a boring subway ride until a mysterious stranger on the run bursts into the car. She tells the kids the only thing that can save her -- and them! -- are magical powers none of them had any inkling of. And with that they are off on a whirlwind trip to different worlds. Can the kids learn to use their powers to save themselves -- and the Earth?

Kids under 15 years old will have first pick at this game.

What do players need to do to prepare for the game
This game is set in the Lords of Gossamer and Shadow multiverse using a simplified diceless rule system. Character creation consists of determining name, description, and one thing the PC is great at, two things they are good at, one thing they are bad at, and an idea for an adventure they'd like to have. The kids are from our Earth; if they choose to be good at things that don't exist here (like magic), then they will not start the game knowing them, but will be fast learners. All PCs will have the LoGaS Warden power that controls travel between worlds, but none will know about it at game start. Contacting the GM ahead of time would be great, but probably isn't strictly necessary.

Infinite Amber: The Morning After Skyfall

Board Room
J.P. Brannan
Slot 2 - Fri 9am-1pm - 4 hours
FULL

Amber: eternal; the city without an end. After the adventures of Corwin and Merlin, it is no longer believed to be the center of the universe. Instead it is one pole of reality. War and rivalries have reshaped the universe. Kings Random and Merlin sit on the thrones of Amber and Chaos. Random will call upon all the resources at his disposal to preserve and reassert Amber's primacy. Those resources include you, his nieces and nephews, the latest generation of Amber's growing royal family. Together you'll face a threat unlike many Amber has faced before. And if at all possible, don't let King Merlin know anything is going on. He'd only make it weirder.

Scratch that. It can't get any weirder. It may be time to tell Merlin.

NOTE: Though technically an 'ongoing series' this is highly episodic and new players will NOT be at a disadvantage.

What do players need to do to prepare for the game
Characters will be King Random's nieces and nephews. An alternative rule set will be used for "Infinite Amber", which will be circulated online. The GM will contact players to help with character generation prior to the convention. (For people already familiar with this: we'll be using the Infinite Amber version 2.1 rules, a simplified revision of rules that have been played at other conventions.) GM is willing to assist with character generation or even provide pre-generated characters if notified in advance: jp@brannan.jp

Shadowpact: Sentinels of Magic

James Arnoldi
Slot 7 - Sun 11am-5pm - 6 hours
SPACE FOR ANY 2 TO 7 PLAYERS

Don't call us a team. We don't have a clubhouse, secret handshake, or any of that crap. We just meet in the back of the Oblivion Bar. However, when the forces of Chaotic magic threaten the world, we've made a pact to protect it.

The Justice League of America may be great if a giant robot is attacking Metropolis or aliens invade Central City, but when you're dealing from ancient horrors from beyond reality, even Superman is vulnerable to magic.

This game is set in a new version of the DC Comics/Vertigo Universe. While familiar characters like John Constantine or Swamp Thing exist in this setting, it is not based on a particular version of the setting, so players do not need previous DC Comics knowledge. So, if you wanted to play Lucifer as seen on the Fox TV show, for example, that would be just fine.More ...

Guardians of Chaos and Amber

Craig Johnson
Slot 1 - Thu 7pm-12am - 5 hours
SPACE FOR ANY 2 TO 7 PLAYERS

Life has sucked... It was a crappy year...
First you were abducted from your home and had to escape. Then you ended up arrested by these jackboot goons who framed you and sent you to a nasty prison in the centre of the dimensions where you slaved for benefit of the Tree.
Now - they need you. They all need you!
Seems that one of your parents was a Lord of Creation, a Prince of Amber or Chaos and you have suppressed powers. You are a good guy, sort of, well, misunderstood.
Seems that Mandor and Fiona, your two Wardens have come around offering you a Pardon from their bosses to stop some very bad dude and his army of thugs from taking everything over. They are worse than Mandor and Fiona!
Now power has shifted - and you are ready to become with your fellow prisoners - the Guardians of Chaos and Amber.
The Universes will just not be the same again!
