This game takes place after the Merlin books. Random rules in Amber; Merlin reigns in the Courts and all is, ah, was well and stable in the multi-verse.

Ambercons should have Amber games and this is an old-fashion shared world game that operates as a serial. Bring a favorite character: Amberite or Chaosian. While points are limit to 200, a strong concept and a well known background are more important than the point count.

Infinite Amber: The Morning After Skyfall

Amber: eternal; the city without an end. After the adventures of Corwin and Merlin, it is no longer believed to be the center of the universe. Instead it is one pole of reality. War and rivalries have reshaped the universe. Kings Random and Merlin sit on the thrones of Amber and Chaos. Random will call upon all the resources at his disposal to preserve and reassert Amber's primacy. Those resources include you, his nieces and nephews, the latest generation of Amber's growing royal family. Together you'll face a threat unlike many Amber has faced before. And if at all possible, don't let King Merlin know anything is going on. He'd only make it weirder.

Scratch that. It can't get any weirder. It may be time to tell Merlin.

NOTE: Though technically an 'ongoing series' this is highly episodic and new players will NOT be at a disadvantage.

What do players need to do to prepare for the game
Characters will be King Random's nieces and nephews. An alternative rule set will be used for "Infinite Amber", which will be circulated online. The GM will contact players to help with character generation prior to the convention. (For people already familiar with this: we'll be using the Infinite Amber version 2.1 rules, a simplified revision of rules that have been played at other conventions.) Another dinner in Amber, that the family is “asked” to attend.  Random is king and he and Vialle are celebrating their anniversary.  There will be dignitaries from Chaos and some others attending as well.  But when certain people don’t show and can’t be contacted, the party takes on a different tone.

Random is king, but the Merlin books haven't happened yet.

This was run as part of the Shakespeare game at AmberCom, and had such a strong result, I’m running it as a one shot here, so Shakespeare won’t show up.
It was also run as a one shot at Amber Central 2016.

What do players need to do to prepare for the game
Children of the elders and Chaosians with strong ties are welcome.  150 point characters, but the points don't really matter. Shared universe.

Having endured the grail quest in the shadow Pattern known as the Field of Thorns, the youngest lords and ladies of Amber haven been blessed by the Unicorn and transported from Avalon to Amber. There, they have used the grail to wake the cursed Benedict and Julian.

Now, they are in Amber for the first time since their fateful encounter with the Mistress of the Wild Hunt. Much has changed in their long absence and their enemies still pursue them. Random has called a family meeting in the hopes of finding answers, but it may already be too late.

At least three Aoife must attend, but the Queen is not opposed to the entire cadre sitting in as needs must. The Aoife serve as Warrior Diplomats to insure the arcane health of Rebma is guarded.
